Separate from the everyday world, the HACIENDA EL ENCUENTRO, in the valley of Oaxaca, is a place of natural calm and tranquility where guests are sensitized and purified in body, soul and spirit while pursuing their particular interests

The HACIENDA EL ENCUENTRO is situated on a rise in the land in the center of the northern part of the Oaxaca Valley, forming part of a great old Hacienda, with foundations dating back to the mid 16th century.

The current project began in 1984, unfolding from the vision of Sven Doehner, originally from Mexico City, who wanted to create a space where the natural harmony and aesthetics of the surroundings awaken a corresponding response
in the guests who come to enjoy the special hospitality of the house and grounds.

Handmade from adobe, river stones and tropical wood, the HACIENDA EL ENCUENTRO can host up to 34 people in 16 bedrooms, and offers guests a swimming pool, a large meeting hall (for 160 people), gardens and fountains.
In a tranquil and intimate space only 20 minutes away from the city center, we
offer unique hospitality for private meetings, workshops, retreats, social events
or family gatherings in the Valley of Oaxaca.
